Fck everything that doesn't make you happy.

About We In Cloudz
Brooklyn's DJ & VJ trio We In Cloudz moves effortlessly across genres, from techno to disco and all the good house vibes in between.

Half traveling happy show of fools, half damn serious tech-house crew, they have casted shadows over dance-floors in New York, Miami, Los Angeles & Montreal and played along the likes of Super Flu, Joe Goddard / Hot Chip, Wankelmut, Chrome Sparks & Pictureplane.

Whether spinning solo or B2B, We In Cloudz merges their European influences with NY's underground, always bringing heat to the dance floor!

How would you describe your music style, in non-technical terms?

Our sound is a mixture of European influences from our home countries (UK & Germany) blended with the underground techno and house scene moving floors across Brooklyn.

How and why did you decide to become a DJ?

We spend all of our time listening to music and had spent so much time going to gigs that it was time to be on the other side of the decks.

Tell us a bit about your fans.

Our crowd is an awesome blend of Brooklyn and Manhattan, from serious music heads to those dipping their toes into into the scene looking to hear things they've never heard before.

What are your top 3 influences? Doesn't have to musical.

Ricardo Villalobos
Giles Peterson
Nicolas Jaar

Any guilty pleasure(s)?

It's not all that guilty but we love dropping in some disco gold every now and then.

All-time favorite track(s)?

Pepe Bradock - Deep Burnt
Joy Orbison - Hyph Mngo
DVS1 - Black Russian
Frankey & Sandrino - Acamar
Hraach - Delirio

What is your favorite festival, why?

So far it's Glastonbury. You can be deep into a techno rave stopping away in the mud one minute, then spend an hour in a circus school, watch a toothless guy play a banjo and finish it off with some indie anthems in front of 50,000 people. It's got it all....apart from good weather.

Funniest/weirdest thing that ever happened during a gig?

While playing a boat party last summer a girl broke through a barrier and managed stop the CDJ with boobs, classy, very classy.

What advice do you have for someone looking to book a DJ? Other than "book me!" ;)

Make sure you booked people that understand the vibe you're going for and know how to play to it. And book people that you'll have fun with, nothing worse than working with assholes!
